Seems as if coach Robbins is glad to be rid of last years seniors, nothing but trouble he says. Well, most of the trouble he had was from maybe 2 players, and in their defense, he created and made their problems worse with the lack of disipline he administered. There was some very good young men on that team last year that dont deserve to be talked about in that manner. Maybe its time for you, Phil to step down and move on.
I'm not a Phil defender, but I'll say this...with the attitudes that some of those seniors had last year, any coach would be glad to be rid of em. There is no room for selfishness in football...and if a player thinks a team is all about them, maybe they need to ride the pine, regardless of ability. But, as a supporter of PV, I'm glad to see a few of last year's seniors gone as well.

But to put all of them in one basket is hardly a fair statement, yes there was problems with individuals. The problem was, ole Phil will play them no matter what, and you know thats the truth.
Things have changed quite a bit. I saw a lot of talent in the late 80's-early 90's never get the chance to suit up cuz of their attitudes. IMO, PV could have gotten rid of 3 of their better players last year and done better than they did. But, I share his sentiment...PV had some good team players that graduated last year..and they had a few cancers that they could have done without as well.

In a sense you are right. Not every Senoir was a trouble maker, so he should have made that clear or not said it. It is his arrogance that gets them beat every year.Everytime he is not on top he has an excuse for it.YOu are right it was not even a handful that caused all the problems and he defended them to the end, so it is his fault. He is the Head coach he has to get that stuff under control!
